Prague Proms

Yesterday, on June 21st in Prague at Municipal House premiered Elfman’s violin concerto.  Concert of Danny’s music opened the 2017 Prague Proms Festival. The Czech National Symphony Orechestra with CSNO Mixed Choir performed at Smetana Hall conducted by John Mauceri. Concert started with a piece from Serenada Schizophrana (‘I Forget’), then followed the Violin Concerto No. 1 “Eleven Eleven” dedicated to Sandy Cameron. Concerto in four movements was very well received and the audience was astonished with Sandy’s performance. In the second part of the concert CNSO performed three suites from Elfman’s film music: Batman, Alice in Wonderland with two boy soloists from Vienna singing ‘Alice‘ and Edward  Scissorhands with violin solo from Sandy Cameron.  After long standing ovation the audience was awarded with an encore:  first ever live performance of The Simpsons theme. Danny was present at the concert and appeared on stage after the end of each part.

It was truly wonderful evening. We’ll post some pictures as soon as we get back from Prague 😉
