Nightmare Anniversary at Hollywood Bowl

This year Hollywood Bowl celebrated the 25th Anniversary of The Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas in 3 concerts on October 26, 27 and 28. The Nightmare’s live  to picture performance starred Danny Elfman as Jack Skellington and original cast members: Catherine O’Hara, Ken Page and Paul Reubens. Maestro John Mauceri conducted the orchestra.
Danny just like the last time at the Bowl ended the show with encore of Oingo Boingo song ‘Dead Man’s Party’ (with Steve Bartek on guitar and Tony Kanal on bass).

Look at some highlights from the concerts.

More Nightmare at Hollywood Bowl

The Halloween with The Nightmare Before Christmas at Bowl is unfortunately over. The Saturday and Sunday concerts were as much thrilling as the first one. Musicians and cast did once again an amazing job. For the last time at the Hollywood Bowl stage Danny sang as Jack Skellington as the show will not be returning here in the future. But surely nobody will ever forget this year’s performance.

We’ve gathered for you some pictures and videos from Saturday and Sunday shows + backstage pics. Enjoy!

Nightmare at Hollywood Bowl

What a great start of Halloween. The Friday show at Hollywood Bowl opened the 3 nights of Nightmare concerts. The concert was an amazing event with great performances from all the artists. John Mauceri again led the orchestra, Sandy Cameron played violin solo, Paul Reubens, Catherine O’Hara and Ken Page sang their original movie parts. And of course Danny was marvelous as Jack Skellington.  To a big surprise and excitement of fans Elfman like the year before performed his old Oingo Boingo song – Dead Man’s Party (with Steve Bartek on guitar)!

Take a look at material from Friday concert below.
