Together with pianists Christopher O’Riley & Kevin Kwan Loucks and members of Calder Quartet, Danny Elfman is preparing for Chamber Music | OC Presents: Members of CMOC’s Young Artist Program in Recital. Two concerts will take place on January 7 & 14 at The Richard Nixon Library and Birthplace in Yorba Linda, CA.
Two days ago showed up an interview in which Danny Elfman focuses on The Nightmare Before Christmas concerts. He speaks about his impressions of preparing the live to the screen show and performing as Jack Skellington. He also reminds how the movie was created. Watch the interview here.
On December 6 and 7 at the Barclays Center in NYC took place The Nightmare Before Christmas Live concerts. Full orchestra and choir performed the score to the movie with original cast singing the songs. Audience could hear Catherine O’Hara as Sally and Ken Page as Oogie Boogie and of course Danny Elfman as Jack Skellington. Take a look at photos and videos from the concerts.
